Hannah Jones: Summary of Ride-Along with Steve V.
As most of you may know, last week I was out on the road with Steve V. I wanted to go out so I could experience the issues that our drivers face on a daily basis and see what a driver’s life is like out on the road. We were supposed to be out Tuesday through Saturday, but Rick needed our help delivering a load so we left on Monday instead. When I got home I found out that I had surprise plans for Monday that now had to be rescheduled. Our first load was a delivery at Sherwin

Driver Manager Hits the Road
I was fortunate enough to have my Driver Manager ride with me in the truck during the week of July 10th-July 15th. I learned a lot about the internal procedures from her, as well as the rules and protocol of our company. She said it was a learning experience for both of us. I feel that getting to know her this past week and learning more about the planning and managing process will make me a better driver and employee. Importance of Driver Paperwork
Being a driver comes with many responsibilities, including route planning, time management, and keeping your driver managers informed with locations and ETAs. But arguably one of the most important responsibilities is staying organized with your paperwork. Truck drivers do a lot of paperwork, most of which are bill of ladings. It can be a struggle to keep track of your paperwork in the midst of the job. Staying organized with your paperwork can cause quite a headache, but our

City Work: What Goes Around Comes Back Around
The art of Planning comes down to balancing the driver’s needs with the customer’s needs in the most efficient way possible. Two of our biggest tools we use are drop lots and extra trailers.
