Mobile technology has been all the rave lately. As a company we have seen quite a bit of success with mobile technologies especially in Mobile Capture. Recently, we have started using a mobile app solution called PeopleNet ConnectedDriver that has similar time-saving qualities as the Mobile Capture. This app is a mobile PeopleNet solution, and it is so efficient that it is reported to be faster than the actual PeopleNet devices.
“PeopleNet ConnectedDriver provides access to critical information about a driver’s day, including dispatches, hours or service availability and messages. Drivers can now receive important updates while away from the vehicle” (PeopleNet Connected Driver App Store).
The app allows you to log-in to PeopleNet from your phone or tablet and it is free to download. It can be found in the Apple App Store for iPhone users at
or the Google Play Store for Android devices at
We have seen huge success with Mobile Capture lately, and we are expecting to see large success with the PeopleNet ConnectedDriver App as well. Phil Garver writes a testimonial about his experience using the Mobile Capture.
“When I get into a routine I like it to stay that way. I had my routine where I would do all my paperwork at once every other day after I shut down. I wasn’t sure about how I would be able to adjust to the Mobile Capture, but it is so easy to use that it wasn’t a problem for me at all. One of the nice things about it is that you are able to see how the paperwork is going to look before you send it, much like taking a photo on your phone. After a day I was used to it. Looking back, my old routine was much less efficient than doing my paperwork immediately before I leave the receiver. Sometimes I would wait a day or two days to do the paperwork, and the problem is that sometimes I would forget. Soon there are 2-3 bills backed up that I need to get scanned in. The Mobile Capture is great for making sure I get paperwork finished in a timely manner.”
